Are you concerned about what keto will do to your cholesterol?

Many people believe eating fat, especially saturated fat, will raise their cholesterol levels and put them at a greater risk for developing heart disease. And doctors reinforce this by making a big deal about high cholesterol requiring a statin medication to lower it.

But this is half-century old thinking!

Newer research shows triglycerides on a standard lipid panel are a much better indicator of your current state of heart health. These blood fats are the truly bad cholesterol that are a direct reflection of your carbohydrate intake—aim for triglycerides under 100.

Cut your carbohydrate intake, eat more real food fats, and your heart will be happy and healthy.
